Just wondering how a Sol "Titanic" conga sounds. Anyone here have one, or been near one?

Yes, I own one.
Biggest diameter conga drum made and I'd has 8 lugs for tuning. It is a big beautiful red oak drum and I have photos of it at myspace.com/bongodoggie.
The sound is big, can go low sub woof for hip hop or tune it up for just boom.

It is in 'pics' at myspace.com/bongodoggie. The photo shows the Titanic next to a 13 inch Sol rumba conga. The photo is #15 down. The two of them together make quite a pair.

I'll add that the big drum take a strong player to pull out the sound, there is a lot of skin to activate.
