Caballoballo,

Yes, they will be Pearl bongos with traditional rims. As part of the new Folkloric line of congas they will be bongos with traditional rims. The size will be 7 and 8 1/2 and with thicker traditional heads...Coming out in NAMM 2006. Available in stores probably in April 2006. Seen them already in photos! Some other features not anywhere else will be available in the congas and bongos...

I'll let you know when we have them in stores here in Puerto Rico.

For those who do not know I've become the independent sales rep in Puerto Rico for Pearl (besides been an endorser). Anything you guys need, let me know...

Saludos!
Raymond

Hi JC,
I know this is a rather old post, but I have recently bought an Afro conga (for only 66€ ) and I´m wondering if it is the same type and quality of craftmanship you mention:
I still have my first set of Afro's before Pearl bought them out. Afro's were created by a guy from Europe. Pearl uses the same shape and style as the original Afro's...I love mine as well as my Pearls..

Yes, the congas sounds really good, I only got a question:
Do those Afro congas of yours also have a small exterior enforcement ring close to the rim of the shell?

Greetings,
Mike
