Any suggestions? - Heaven by Los Lonely Boys

¡Muy buenos días! How is everyone out there? I hope all are doing well. I'm back and making another plea for help. We're doing the song Heaven by Los Lonely Boys.

I've been just kind of keeping time with the song with quarter notes and throwing in some eighth notes here and there. Usually toward the end of each measure. Does anyone have any suggestions on a good pattern to try? Any ideas would definitely be appreciated. Muchísimas gracias.
