CongaTick, I thought about doing this to my conga and quinto only have two 2x2's or what ever in a X and notched out where the conga foot rests in each 2x. IDEA'S IDEA'S !! wOoT :D

Yep. that'll work, but the notching should be fairly deep to hold the tubs in place, hence the spring-clips. We all make do with what we have when budget is an issue. BTW, the djembe is an incredibly cool addition tomy 3 drum+bongo setup. Wondeful accents and another color to the palette of sounds I have available within the mix. (But I may revert to dyeing hair again. A guy like me showing up on a gig always raises a few curious eyebrows :D )
