JC
Thanks for getting back to me Its great things are moving and going well for you. I am glad to here about the progress on the book.
I just wanted to put that idea of rhythm with song, I think its a great help to me and others like me.
I fried of mine gave me the notation fot the tumbao on "Pedro Navaja" this really helps me when play along with the song knowing I have the correct pattern for the tumbao used Now I can learn the timing correctly or practice until I get it. Its a real wotld application for me.
If any body else has any patterns notated which they play with a particular song that would be very helpful.

JC don't worry about the Santana stuff there is no rush whenever you get a chance.
Again thanks for all your help even to us old guys

I just looked for that Santana album with Toussaint-Guajira and the other one, which album is that? I don;'t think i have it?.... the only one I can speak on right now is Yaleo, and the congas are buried in the mix, but Raul is playing a "made up" pattern, that is barely distinguishable...like they say "it's in the mix", of course ur gonna hear Carlos and the drums ok, but the perc, is taking a back seat. sorry....."JC" Johnny Conga... :;):
