Hey guys,
I'm trying to see what I could play over jazz standards in a bossa nova, ...i.e. "Blue Bossa", Stan Getz stuff, things like that, I guess that wouldn't be the real authentic patterns, right?
Any suggestions?
For congas, bongos, ..whatever you got.

Thanks a lot

You could try a tumbao, but it really depends on the whole bands instrumentation e.g. what other instruments...

Yeah, I just thought there might be another pattern or something that most players used.

Thanks.

Several times when I've been jamming in open-jazz jam,we would get the Bossa, taking it up to full Samba-jam(in the middle of the song),and back to Bossa for the ending, people love it,they get a thrill out of it.
