Congaratulations! 8) They look killer. What wood is used for this model & what sizes did you get made?

They also look very heavy... How much do they weigh?

Heavy Metal indeed BnB!

The above congas are a "Custom" Salsa Club model quinto, conga and tumba.
These drums are the bomb, you can't believe the volume and projection.
These things could knock out a tank.

I have never put them on a scale.
With an LP Classic in one hand and the Moperc Salsa Club in the other the Moperc feels at least 1/3rd heavier.

Those are some bad-a$$ looking drums. I have two of the standard Salsa club series drums. Same long anchor plates, and only one external band (at the bottom), with clear coat on ash. My drums look great, but the red-stained ones in the pic with the extra bands ... holy smokes ... they look awesome! If I could start my collection over ... hmmm ... no ... I'm just gonna let that thought go. My drums are fine. It's no good envying another man's drums, or his girlfriend, or anything like that.

Cheers,
BMac

BMac you read my mind exactly! I loved the previous set that I owned.
When my friend offered to buy them at my price I thought... I could reorder & get them customized!
Then when Michel said the turnaround time was only a month I put together the idea to get the dark red model with custom bands and have the bands "popped" with darker stain underneath!

I can't wait to play them in 7-10 days

I can't vouch for a quinto - since I don't have one **damn it I want a Moperc Maple Cubano quinto :x waahhh :|

Buuutt, the conga is a 11 3/4 as in true to the outside measurement... LP and thailand measured drums are 11 1/4 . The Tumba is 12 1/2 true measurement, LP is 12 1/4 .

Me too , and thanks !! My ROM (range of motion) has progressed enough that I can almost do most human needs-i.e. put close on, brush teeth :x but at a slow pace. I've started own physical therapy to gain lubrication in the ligaments and tendons. Its still hard to open a jar etc, buts its workin'-slowly but surely ...sorry for the OT :|

I've taken out the conga 2 times, and the tumba has stayed home :D

I think he's already been mentioned as an endorser of Moperc, but I haven't yet seen these latest uploads of him playing them. Here is one, there are several more on his youtube site. Gives a decent idea of the Moperc sound with the drums in isolation. Manu Bizeau marcha con 3 tumbas

My Mopercs arrived yesterday - love these new PHAT tumbadoras.
