Pimpi,

Didn't realize you were a potter. Excellent craftsman ship and truly cool.

CongaTick,
I ain't a potter just an enthusiast and thank you for the compliment. I'm getting better and the most important is, that they really sound good.
Next ones that i'll made will be a more flat and burned on higher temperatures; tones get higher...

if you see that logo in future... you know where it comes from :)

Indonesian special.

I drop a small mic into the cavity and mic the outside as well, then run it through effects. Hard-fired with a nice texture for scraping / rubbing.

I'm happy with the sound. MUCH better than the LP udus, which SUCK in my opinion.

Hope to get a real Nigerian udu at some point.

Simply beautiful!!!

Did you ordered it online or tried it first at store/workshop? I'm into geting one soon and would like your opinions about sizes, designs, manufacturers, etc. Haven't seen any of those in stores here in Puerto Rico - not easy to find anything beyond the afrocuban instrumentation.

I've been searching at amazon.com, but I know nothing about the craftmanship of what I saw there, so I prefer to rely on the warranty from who I know (that means LP), but haven't heard good things about their udus (neither about their cajon - but I like mine).

Any suggestion and/or advises will be appreciated.

EDIT:

Your opinions:
