I'm looking for some nice, thick steer (cow) skins to put on my drums. Does anyone have a good source?

I know that Timba, Meinl and others sell flat skins, but the mark up on them is huge. You really shouldn't have to pay more that $40-$50 for an 18 inch diameter peice of skin.

Thanks,

Zach

I have no direct experience with either this site, or Bauer skins, but the price ($35) is a little better than what you mentioned...

enter conga head in the search box.
