I saw this on facebook. The comment said it was in New York City.

Visually you could see a New York state Motor Vehicle Inspection station banner draped across the street from the playground in the upper left corner of the photo. It may be somewhere in Spanish Harlem or the Bronx I'm guessing.

King conga: we do have them around here in SoCal, a park by my little sister's elementary school has the exact same set up, except not in those colors..its a tan\brown color.. tbh I think the forum members would enjoy it more than the kids do..

I wonder if the shekeres are filled with gravel or something?

Or if the drums themselves which are opened at the bottom as real instruments are made, would they produce a playable pitch to them? I think the color scheme as mentioned in SoCal would be a truer likeness to real percussion instruments although blue and red is cool being NY Giant's colors. My apologies to all other NFL team fans but I have to root for the home team in this year's Super Bowl. Just my 2 cents Peace brothers....

Hey guys,

To answer the questions, nope the shekeres aren't filled with anything, the only thing u can do is spin them around or up & down, also the congas, djembes, & bongos don't have an opening at the bottom, so they don't make any special sound..its pretty much like hitting a 5gal jug of water..still a nice touch for the kids...

Salcero1: here's to hoping we win on Sunday ;)
