I want to third those wishes and thank everyone on the forum for sharing their passion, experience and knowledge.
Thanks particularly to Congadelica who has given me a lot of encouragement. He has worked hard trying to bring people together over many months, he has revived old enthusiasm in some, and planted the seed of interest in and enthused many more with his aficion for la rumba buena.
We are hoping that 2009 will be a great year for rumba here in the North of England.
Thanks Marco, and thanks everyone for keeping the fire burning.

Its been hard going but I think we are looking at a great 2009 . looking forward to many sessions of Rumba hermano .

Wow Abakua!!! Those are the most spectacular pics of NY's fireworks I've ever seen!!
Did you go to that??
Ours was small, but nice. Made some new friends and played a little music.

The fireworks looked digitally enhanced to me . in a similar way they did the Bejing Olympics.
Nothing appears as it is these days . smoke and mirrors eveywhere .
they do look cool though . did you take those pics Abakua? is so splendid
