Rumberos, the El Balcon del Zumbador Salsa club aniversary started last Friday until tonight. Yesterday we had the pleasure to play & share the stage with various local bands including one where Maelo which is member of this forum plays the role of Bongocero. Every band playing there last night was tight, very good Mazacote, good swing and good old classic salsa. It was a nice pleasure sharing with all the musician gathered there with one common goal which was to entertain the salsa public, drink a little and play the night away. I don't know at what time the last Band finished, I left about 2AM and the party was still going. This afternoon I have to play again but with a different band that consist of 2 Trombones, Piano, upright Bass, Conga, Bongó ,Timbal & 2 singers. :D

Que chevere estuvo, eh? I had the chance to share the stage with Josean "Caballoballlo" and as he said, it was a blast. Also got a chance to hear firsthand (or firstear?) the old Piernas bongo that he bought from Omelenko, eso es otra cosa, man what a sweeet sound. You could actually feel the bass from the hembra. Like he said, good bands (by the way let me congratulate Josean, tremenda banda Caballo), place packed with people dancing, great musicians and what I enjoyed the most was being able to hang around with some of the best musicians of PR, talking music, making jokes and having a good time, far away from all the politics, economy problems, etc....

Si , estuvo bravo de verdad. Like Maelo said, the Zumbador was the place where we all got together last weekend. We played, share, listen & watch the other bands got up and down from the stage. This year the aniversary was better organize ,all bands were playing in accordance with the schedule not like the previous year that we have to hustle at the back of the stage to get our time to play. Was a wonderful time indeed.

Maelo, the sound man has the recordings store in his laptop. This is his number in case that Rafy Class wants a copy. 787- 565-0049.His name is Carlos.
