Posted: Sun Jul 27, 2008 7:11 pmI read somewhere that "El negro" Triana passed away. Its a shame if its true, he is one of my top favorite rumberos specially for columbia. His voice is unmistakable.
Good news, this is not true, Guillermo "El Negro" Triana lives!
I believe the misunderstanding occurred when a frequent traveler to the island got news that someone named Guillermo had passed away, but upon further investigation turned out not to be El Negro.
