Not sure if Papo or Roberto Q is soloing, but does it not sound like a mimic of Gio?

CANTO A LA CARIDAD! Not Cano! I was wondering what cano was!
Doesnt sound like Gio to me at all. Perhaps the crisp of the slaps is what makes you think it sounds like Gio, but sound is something can be altered in any decent recording studio.

Agree. Not Gio to me, either. Sounds like he's reacting to the music, rather than helping to drive it. Some hesitation, whereas Gio's fluidity and command are key elements that command attention, his technique flawlessly distinct on all strokes.
