Thanks for the coments guys, here's one more...

Performed live on TV for a morning program, this is from mid 2005 with the band 'Armandito Y Su Mecanica'
For some reason uploading to youtube plays it slighly out of sync with some minor skips also... But I assure you its 100% live and unedited. I will try to get a better copy off the DVD onto my pc.
We played the short version of an original composition titled TIRA TIRA. Where it ends in the clip, it takes off again into masocote/breakdown timba style, however we were limited in time so could only play the song in its short format.

Found by clicking here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RTIgs0iqbB8

Enjoy!

Nice work Abakua.

Hey wasn't there a post on here yesterday with the youtube video embedded? I was wondering if that was possible. Did the post get deleted for some reason?

On another note, I found Maya Deren's documentary, DIVINE HORSEMEN available for streaming or download. Filmed in Haiti in the late 40's, early 50's. I know nothing about Haitian music, so I can't vouch for it's accuracy (I would be interested to hear comments), but it sure looks cool. I wish she had gone to Cuba also!

Yeh I accidently deleted it when I went to quote Freddy (I hit delete instead of quote)

Cheers, glad you enjoyed my vids.

Next some some music produced by Anga Diaz who just died recently;

Interesting to watch Eddie Montalvo playing with just 2 fingers of his right hand, now I'm curious as to what happened to his other fingers, but it doesn't hinder his playing or sound....He has always been a favorite player of mine, that's Louie Bauzo on Bongo and my buddy "Nicky" on timbs....for u young players check out the "groove" on this video .."eso es AFINQUE!"...."JC" Johnny Conga....
