So we all know how much of a killer player Ritchie Flores is right...
I just had no idea he was a killer from suck a young age!
Check him out here, featuring Fernando Luis Garcia, Richie Flores, Endel Dueno, 1977 Puerto Rico

Nice hands here by "Chembo" Corniel at the LP Booth, 2006 NAMM Show in Anaheim California

A little out of sync with footage, but another moment of greatness from Gio.

Hey so I'm finally able to transfer VHS to digital, take a look at some of the stuff I have been putting up.
Some classic Muñequitos and Afrocuba de Matanzas. I also have some Conjunto Folklorico and other assorted things to come later.

For me i would pick Giovanni based on his "maturity" on the drum. Ritchie is still Great and now even more so but Gio to me has left everybody behind and running a very close 2nd also to me is Paoli Mejias....he is also "flying" these days..and to see him play up close and personal is truly a "trip" to see!...."JC" Johnny Conga....

PS ...Paoli's hands are almost as small as Gio's...oh how I hate small hands. ....."JC" Johnny Conga...

Bros, Richie tells me that he was 7 years old in that video; he checked it out... and it just blew his mind and even more his wifes. He started playing at the age of 5 in the rumbas "callejeras" , as the boys in PR say "chachooooo"
Thanx Abakua.

Chacho! "Chembo" is quite the talented and versitile percussionist. I have heard him before, but not featured alone like the video link presented.
Gracias Abure Tamboricua!
Suave!
