Hello Skin Deep....with all due Respect my brother...this is HIS "STYLE"....It has nothing to do with "Latin" drumming... this is what we "ol skoolers', call "split hand" style....and I must tell u he is very proficient in this style...Now I dont know if he can sit in with a Latin band but what he does is unique in itself....Now,can u play like that?....cause it is just another "style" of playing....Look the more "styles" u learn the better u can be as a player. something wrong with that?....I have always said "the more u have in your arsenal the stronger u are"!.....u don't have to like his playing, but u have to respect it ..."JC" Johnny Conga... :D

BELIEVE ME I AGREE WITH YOU, THE MORE THE BETTER. LIKE TATA SAID MANY GOOD PLAYERS BUT EVERYBODY SOUND THE SAME. I DO RESPECT IT 'CAUSE IT'S DIFFERENT. I'VE SEEN DON ALIAS DO SOME HAND SPLIT EVEN THOUGH I'M NOT REAL FAMILIAR WITH IT. I DID SOME QUICK JUDGEMENT AND I'LL CORRECT MYSELF, NO PROBLEM BABY. SUAVE.

Have to say you did a heck of a nice job. THe vocals were a bit raw, but thought you caried things very well, including your solo. Very, very nice. Stay in touch, and let's see more. Tell us about yourself --teachers? influences?

wow - this little guy is blessed to be exposed to music so young.
he already has nice, relaxed arms, and his little hands are already independent of his forearms.. and he has the feel of it. i also notice that he enjoys the flam a lot. hehe, a little tata guines.

beautiful to watch.
