I've been seeing alot of this brand being sold on ebay. They're instruments appear to be pretty good quality, and their priced like high-end products. I'm not in the market for new congas, just wondering if anyone has played these drums or heard anything about them? Their timbales look nice as well.

They're pretty solid - similar to Meinl and Pearl
Made in Thailand. Good value and construction, but Poor water bufallo skins
( like all the others) which can be easily changed. I also have a wholesale account to
sell them as well ( if anyone in the USA is interested), but know one seems to know about
them.
They are experienced Thai people running it - likey broke
away after being the workers at one of the
mega factories in Bangkok. They had no experience
in branding, marketing or advertising so have failed
to get our attention. Even the name Tycoon has
no relevance to percussionists - they needed to do
their research. That being said,
they are somewhere between and intermediate &
Pro level and one could do well with them.
