Here are photos from out concert that was devouted to our friends; it's one year since we play on stage together: http://smejmoon.lv/kuchenbeat/saksafons20060121/

We took small club, invited some 200 friends. No entrance fee, 2 other bands. It was realy nice and warm; if outside temperature were -25 °C, then near stage and on stage it was at least +25°C. We played half an hour set for TV, press and stuff, then let other bands play and then two hours more. There was also jam session with friends, former band players and other nice people. :)

It was also first time, when I played congas with this band and they were fully miked. I even had my own premixer Onile-style. ;)

I'm realy sorry that I can not show you ladies dancing and band going crazy, but seems that in best moments noone took pictures.

Alafia Brother Smejmoon!
I hope that you are well and in an abundance of wonderful blessings!
Wow! Great pics my brother! You guys all looked like you were really enjoying yourselves!
It always works out like that, when the best moments are happening, everyone is into it and then forget to take a picture of it!

You look real comfortable on that drum my brother! Glad to hear that you got mic'd, it makes a world of difference on your hands, and with the sound of the band!

Many blessings to you my brother!

Respect!
Onile!

Alafia Abures!
May you all have the blessings too numerous to mention!

I find it amazing, as Abure Rumbaman pointed out, that conga drums and players are finding themselves in various parts of the globe otherwise not considered to be a place where you would find them!

I personally think it's great! The blending of cultures, with music being the vehicle to get us there!

Once again, Great Job Abure Smejmoon!

Sweet!
Onile!

Following international request here comes more pictures. We now have one more Ieva in the band, on the saxophone. This was her first amplified gig with our crazy crew. :)

(Party is called Deep retro scratch, it was last Sunday)

Some BOOM-CHA!BOOM-CHA! dancing.

Song about Uganda.

The band. As you can see I made poor-mans timbales from my bongos. Sounds realy good in reggae.

Excuse biased angle; I did not made the pictures.

If our drummer would play as slow as relaxed he looks, some songs would not turn out to be a race :D
