Hello,
Chembo Corniel is a great player, very "tasteful approach". I have seen him many times in NYC, with various latin jazz groups, mostly with Chris Wasburne & Syotos.. I believe they have 3 or 4 CD' s on the Jazzheads label. He salsa veteran player, who has been doing more work in latin jazz, as of late. You can check him out a chembocorniel.com.

His cd "Portrait in Rhythm" is a superb cd. Different from any Latin Jazz cd, I've have ever heard. He's very approachable and humble, (which is a plus in my book)! I believe he's one of the best congueros out now!
I was at the cd release party and it was a great performance.

Hola Tonio,
Yes, Ray Vega is a trumpet player ex-alumni of the Tito Puente Orchestra, Mongo Santamaria band, The Bronx Horns, and many others. He has his own project now.
