Posted: Wed Jun 08, 2005 11:05 amHello, I was listening to the box set with Chano yesterday (Tambor de Cuba I think it is called, with the comments by Jordi Puyol?), by the way an interesting collection, and my question is about the third disc; the Cu-Bop days, and especially the numbers Cubano Be, Cubano Bop and of course the fabolous Manteca, and I wonder, exactly what are Chano playing in the middle part of Manteca, is it some kind of bembe, if so, what kind of bembe, or is this Yoruba or Abakua-stuff, and maybe some of you even know what is being played in the two other number mentioned too? thanks
