Hi all,
I've recently returned from a trip to DR where I became amazed with the tambora. I've recently purchased the Meinl, but I can't seem to find any books, or videos to help me to learn it. Can anybody direct me to where i might find some learning materials and also can anybody provide the notation for one or two typical merengue patterns?

Thanks,

If it's recorded or printed, it's probably available through Descarga.com. They have a huge catalogue of Afro-latin lessons, books, recordings and god-knows what else. It might take awhile, but it's worth the wait! Hope this helps.

My friend Lilian let me know Juan Luis Guerra is on tour has a West coast concert in Los Angeles, for those who are in the area, and might be interested.

People tell me he is a great show every time, plenty of percussions on the show, congas, bongo, tambores...etc...
