Greetings all,

My Cajon isn't sounding too good.. I think it's string related.. They look fien but one seems looser.. I loosened and then re-tightened all the screws on the front panel but no cigar..

Can anyone give me any tip about this..

Much obliged..

What make of cajon you got? I think the strings need to be pretty tight bun not guitar tight.

Also try using masking tape to tape the strings to the head from the inside. Start by taping in the middle and expiriment, don't be afraid to tape in two places or more.

Hey Fed, thank's for the response I'll try the tape thing...
I don't think the Cajon is any brand, a friend bought it back from Barcelona.. It's nothing special but it had nice crispy slaps and a decent bass..

Now it sounds just wrong and I don't know why.. Maybe just wear and tear?
