Custom shekere: Emerald Shadow

Been out of the shekere gig for a while. Actually planning a house move and career change so it's been hectic. I have 5 or 6 gourds that will *eventually* become shekeres but for the time being, I only have one complete and ready for sale before my big move. So here it is:
Emerald Shadow
Progression from smoke beads to dark and medium greens. All beads are transparent and work well with the light. There are 34 leads from the top with 12 rows, 68 beads/row totaling 816 beads.
Net made from strong nylon twine with parachute cord for the collar and hem.
Very solid gourd standing 14-15" tall and ~32" diameter. Stained with "golden oak" followed by a very thin coat of gold paint. This allows the natural texture of the gourd to be seen but also gives the gourd a golden sheen in the light. It's a new technique that has great promise for future shekeres. Of course it's finished with 2 coats of polyurethane.
