Manito Percussion now has bongos for sale! These are my walnuts but there are Maple bongos to follow as well.

Here is an informal video of Ryan Manito playing the new black walnut solid shell one piece bongos that he made me. Please note all the different colors in the wood from red purple to orangey yellow. Pretty amazing! Please excuse the room noise and overall sound quality, it was filmed through a photo camera. I will make some more videos when I receive the bongos next week.

Nice, real nice, that walnut is something else.
I love the minimalistic approach to the hardware
and the center block. They are aesthetically pleasant.
Congratulations and hope you have a great time
playing that bongo.

Just received my Manito Percussion walnut bongos today. I ordered extra pre mounted skins as per Mr. Breez's suggestion. Also came with a really nice rachet wrench as well :) Very happy with these drums. I will post video soon. Here are some outdoor shots in the meanwhile.

Mr.Rumba....looks like you went with a different Hembra head. I love the way that head looks!! I know the other light colored head from before sounded good too, but with this other more Natural looking head on it makes the Bongos look Awesome! Thanks for posting the pictures.

This is a short very casual demo of me playing the new Manito walnut solid shell bongo with 2 differnt macho heads. I have interchangeable (pre mounted) skins for both macho and hembre.

The white skin (first skin played on macho) is mule, the 2nd skin (brown) is the steer.

The second video is another casual bongo video of me playing 4 of my favorite bongos (the only ones I own): Manito, Spirit In The Wood, LP and Sonoc.

This is a casual and informal test of two different types of bongo skins on the same (Ryan 'Manito' Wendel) Manito solid shell walnut bongos. I have natural steer macho head, then I change it to a pre mounted mule skin then back again so you can here the huge difference the skins make:
