This is a grouping of several different Manito Percussion conga drums. As you can see he uses many types of exotic and sustainable wood. There are two different hardware styles available, traditional and floating. He may call it something else but you get the idea.

Gorgeous craftsmanship and priced appropriately enough so that the only place you would play these is in your living room.

Nice! Just checked out the site.
It's great to see him offering Bomba Barriles and Hatian Drums as well!
He has a great concept and look to his work.
Best of luck to him!

I currently have a set of Spirit In The Wood Figured Ash solid shell congas. They are around the same price or more then the Manito solid shell drums. I also have Matthew Smith, Fats, LP's and so on and so fourth. I take all my drums out to play. I use protective bumpers on the lugs. I travel with my solid shell congas. Currrently they are with me in Thailand. I pack them in and out of taxis regularly for gigs. My point being , drums are meant to be played and I do not let the price of the instruments effect where I take them. This is my philosophy, to take them and play them.

I agree with Mr Rumba 200%.I find no point on having instruments for display & to brag about. All my Bongos go out to gig, that's what they are for otherwise my Lady will find something to put on top.
