Would you be interested in trading for a professional djembe drum with travel case from a Master Drummer?

What is wrong with trading a professional djembe for a Matthew Smith conga drum? Mamady Keita (a master drummer) charges $1000 for a djembe. Drum Skull drums charges $950. They are both respected instruments from different heritages, hand made by master craftsmen coming from a long tradition. Just because you do not know about something does not mean it is not valid.

Very few Conga drummers play Djembe extensively
Very few Djembe players play Conga extensively

The technique and feel is not comparable. It's comparable to Cricket and Baseball, or Tennis and Raquetball etc.

So I doubt if a serious aficionado of one would spend a lot of money just like that to buy a instrument from the other genre.
