LP Tito Puente 12/13-inch timbales

When looking into purchasing a set of timbales, would these be good or should I hold out and get a set of 14/15-inch timbales? How much difference does the small drum size make--is pitch the only factor or is it better to have a larger drum tuned higher for surface tension on the head?

Oh okay, thanks. There's a set near me for a fairly cheap price ($250). I'm wondering if I should get them or just hold out.
