Hi,

I came across this a few years ago, and it works well on congas. I cant vouch for the accuracy or authenticity, maybe one of the other bruvvas can do that.

Ah good stuff man! Steve was at my side as a drummer/timbalero for almost 10 years in several bands. Apart from that, he is also one of my closest friends.
When you see him next, tell him I say "THINGLE" :laugh:

Hi Abakua,
I take issue with the counting (my pet peeve). He uses a six beat cycle:
1 & 2 & 3 & 4 & 5 & 6 &
and a pair of four-beat cycles:
1 & 2 & 3 & 4 &|1 & 2 & 3 & 4 &

This reveals a lack of understanding the music in its most fundamental framework. All clave-based music is set in a cycle of four main beats:
either
1+a2+a3+a4+a
or
1e+q2e+a3e+a4e+a

Also, it would easier to read if there were horizontal and vertical lines to define the grid better.

As for the accuracy, what I saw looked right.
