What the Pro’s played in the 70’s!
Posted: Tue Jan 08, 2019 2:10 pmBongoceros! This is what everyone played in the Salsa and Guaguanco scene in the 70’s. I’ve owned this LP Bongo Cowbel for over 35yrs now. Got it from a guy who got frustrated with it because he couldn’t get it mounted in his Timbales. So during a gig he one year he tells me “La quieres” and of course I said “Yes” lol. True old school sound on this bell. The Bongos I got from a Guy in LA who thought it was a good idea to engrave his name and what it looks to be his SS# on the rims. What a dope! The guy didn’t even know what he had. These are late 60’s or early 70’s Palisades Park with Cuban bottoms and made out of Dark Walnut. Super light.
