I'm looking for some bongo stands for seated playing. I want stand-alone stands, not ones to add on to a drum kit.

Lot's of choices out there, does anybody have any experience with any of these?

Pearl- Pearl 3000 Series Pro Bongo Stand - Short -- $215.

Hello.

We had this discussion a few months ago.
As I said at the time, I use this one, and am quite satisfied with it, because of the long horizontal bar :

Someone (maybe Mike ?) said he uses the Sonor model, similar to mine, but a little bit cheaper. I believe Gibraltar had a good model too for a while, but it's no longer made.

The Pearl and Gon Bops models you show are expensive. The Toca could fit, but I prefer the longer bar on mine. And I wouldn't trust the Aspire.

Yes, we had such conversation here not so long ago. I was (maybe am still) considering a seated bongos stand.

My essential requirement is that the stand does not do its job solely on the wooden bridge between the macho and hembra. So that the mechanical stress during playing isn't concentrated on the bridge. Unfortunately the LP stands do not have extra support, and anchor the bongos solely by the bridge.

Those stands provide added support/stabilization underneath the bongos: Meinl (with a long padded T-support rod), the Tosca you showed (although the support is short like a tab, and doesn't extend across the drums diameter, but maybe it is sufficient), and the Gon Bops which seems to have an extensive but apparently convoluted/unwieldy support.

The Meinl being the simplest would be my favorite, and possibly the Tosca too (though the Tosca doesn't seem to be readily available in Europe).

I have all of them. I think the LP is best. Easy to carry, set up, take down. If you are playing you still use your legs the stand takes the weight. No problem just holding the block. I use the Meinl stand only for very big and heavy bongos.
