I'm thinking of adding a set of fiberglass bongos (and probably Remo Fiberskyn heads) to my percussion set. These will possibly allow me to get a good crisp sound while using my mallets in conjunction with other stuff I may be working with at the same time (I do not get a really crisp sound with my mallets on my wood LP Gio's with natural skins).

I like to buy the best that I can afford, anytime that I make a purchase!

That being said, are there any "great" fiberglass bongo's out there that I should look for?

Hi,
it´s 2 week I bought LP Galaxy fiberglass Bongos and I´m satisfied with them.I have only doubts about heads - especially hembra is little bit weak. Still I can recommend them. :;):

I have a set of Pearl's Elite Bobby Allende Signature Series. They come from the factory with Remo Fyberskins. No need to change heads here if you are looking to get into fiberglass and with Remo Fyberskins.

This set was the first set of bongo in fiberglass that I've used and like the sound. I even recorded with them and they provided me a great sound. Definitively I recommend them. Check them out.

Saludos!
