Julio, que pasa loco, just by looking at the picture I know is a good sounding Bongó out of the Box. Also many people knows the reputation of El Piernas been one of the best artisans out there. That Bongó is better than any of the mass produce ones not matter which brand is. Leña con el.

Have not ever played or even heard of these, however from the picture they apear to be very well made. The hardware looks heavy duty and I must say the shells look beautiful! Grats on the new bongos!

Alex, You can buy thru mercadolibre.com, Select Colombia. The problem is that the shipping and handling is more expensive than the Bongó. Sometimes you can buy them at Ebay.

Alex, que está pasando, welcome to the forum.Yes indeed,we have a group of Old Guerrilleros playing around the Clubs down here. Last weekend we played at midnight at a Club named El Criollo which is on Expreso Martines Nadal very close to Bayamón,I have to contact the manager tomorrow for the next gig which is always on Wenesdays, also we will be at Prudos Café on March 10,that place is located at #236 east on Avenida Roosevelt. Let me know when you are flying in so I can tell you where the action will be. If you are interested in a hand made Bongó,there is an artisan by the name of Charlie Vega who can have one made in 2 weeks, Doctorumba has 1 of Charlies and there is a picture on page 2 of this Bongó Section.

Alex, last time he was asking around $280. The good thing about is that it is a Unique Bongó built to your specs, good skins, wood, ect ect. Not mass produce.

I have a pair of Hector Rochas made in Cali with bands, they sound great, but they are heavy and you have to be in training to hold them between your knees for any length of time.
