Vaya, Gon Bops has a set of Bongos endorse by Alex Acuña. They look like their California series but the cost is less. From the picture they look conical in shape. Are the California series conical ? I really like the hardware .

I have Gon Bops catalog that I picked up during NAMM. (Have to check the competion...). They look conical to me and they are made of American Ash...(You know...like Giovannis..and they look alike but with the darken spots of American Ash more defined).
While at NAMM, their stuff looks nice and sounds pretty good. I just find their prices kind of high. They have signed some people...Roberto y Luisito Quintero and the Walfredo Reyes Sr and Jr., among others...(No wonder the big brand is treating their endorsers nicer these days...)
