Im pretty sure sos uses cow skins for
There drums anyway they feel like cow.

Saludos and welcome Velgi58. Nice drums Jay Bereck does nice work and they're so light in weight and great sounding. True a hit to the wallet stings but you have an instrument worth a lifetime of memories and good times ahead. Enjoy them I sure do mine. Nice drums fella's! I have the same set

I've never really considered myself a bongo player, but these drums have taught me a lot about the bongo. It's an interesting experience to get on a set of drums that actually produce the sounds and dynamics I've heard on some of my favourite tracks. From there it has been up to me to find the sounds. I think in part because I believed the drums would make the sounds I worked harder to find them. Perhaps a cheap mass produced drum can do the same thing for a master bongocero, but having a good instrument to learn on sure does help.

Also, the more I play the drums the more the heads open up and the better they/I sound. I'll set them aside for a couple weeks and pick them up again, I'm always surprised how awesome they sound. I seem to forget between sessions - same thing with my bata's.
