Leedy, I told you before you bought it, that Bongó is too heavy, too big and not atractive. But you did not listen. I saw it personally when belonged to Juan Ramos.

Wouldn't playing as paila damage the bearing edge? I mean I guess if you did no rim shots it would be OK but that would seriously limit the sounds you could get.

				Cuco,
I was wondering since you initiated the thread, how can bongos be to heavy? They might be bulky, if they are oversized; but if you hold them correctly, they are just hanging down there on your lower legs, aren't they? You are a fine bongo player, so how do you hold them?

				Hi Cuco,
I understand. I have the Gon Bops Walnut model that has a 9" hembra and 7" macho. I think the macho is smaller and the hembra bigger than the LPs. To be honest: Back then I just wanted to have something different from LP; Gon Bops were available, and I liked their product (-image). Also, I had seen Rumbavana's Tino Alonso playing similar sizes, and I liked his playing, I was into the Cuban way (as opposed to Salsa), and I also felt that the sharper contrast between the drums corresponded more to my sound idea. I'm still happy with them.

				Hi Cuco,
same model, except that mine have 4 hooks each.
