Beautiful piece of art. Still does not matter how many pictures of high quality Bongos, superior craftsmanship, better wood ,better skins, hardware, ect, that we post, there are the believers who do not recognize that
thailand made stuff is just inferior.

Cali is a dear friend, every time I go up to NY to see my daughter, the first thing I do is take the Bronx bound train to Yankee stadium and stop by Cali's place, a true crafstman. His bongos are standard for the industry and are always in the forefront. I have an old Dominican mahogany from him from early 1980's, as years go by they sound better, made to last forever.
What kind of wood are these. They look ash ? The ones on top look very "criollo". I like what I see. Isaac, give my regards to SeƱor Rivera, his wife and his helper, who is a great timbalero.
Saludos, Dario
