RUMBAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!...MY PEEPS are waiting for my return..I haven't played any Rumba here in Seattle for 10 years...I NEED RUMBA!..it is part of the playing skill sets needed for the Conga drum..along with the 'camaraderie' I so long for, and haven't had here in Seattle with the drum...and then im gonna eat me un Bistec empanizado con frijole negro y arroz blanco..y que tu crees?....oh yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaa..a comeeeeeeeeeeer!...

here is one crew of friends in Miami Im jammin with(far right)...I miss this!

I am now settled into my new home in Ft. Lauderdale/Miami area...this weekend at Soya y Pomodoro(`120 NE 1st St. Miami 9pm,I iwill be sitting in with Vibist Edil DeLeon Jazz Quartet plus 1(me)...on the 27th of Sept. I will be at PAX with the Raul Gallimore Latin band. I am also accepting any NEW ONLINE pupils interested in really learning to play the Conga drum and ALL that goes with it. The City of Miami Beach presents the Food Truck and Music Festival Wednesday, November 27, from 5-10 PM, featuring the hot salsa/latin jazz of Johnny Conga and his Tropical Jazz Project from 6-9. Johnny Conga has performed with many major artists, such as Carlos Santana, Eddie Palmieri, Michael Schrieve, Sergio Mendes, Gloria Gaynor, The Jackson 5, Gloria Estefan, Paquito D'Rivera, Arturo Sandoval, Dave Valentin, Johnny Pacheco, and over 152 bands and with over 20 Grammy-winning artists. He has done 17 International World tours, radio, television, recordings and movies. He has received the Golden Ear Award by the Earshot Jazz Organization (Seattle) for his latest recording, OYE!/LISTEN! C U At the North Shore Bandshell, 7275 Collins Avenue Miami Beach bandshell

having a great time with the band back together after 13 years of separation..New additions are Patrick Converse on trumpet(Stefan bowed out), Angel Rueben Rodriguez Sr. on bongos/perc and Jimmy Daniels on drumset and timbal..
