Hey congueros,
Does anyone have the CD, Chango by Robin Jones & King Salsa? I was thinking of picking this up but I have never heard of this group. The cover looks pretty intriguing. Can anyone let me know if this has good percussive rhythms? Thanks!

I don't own that record but I have others featuring Robin Jones.. He is an awsome, hugely experianced percussionist.. Amazing on drum set and Congas' etc..

He is no.1 Conguero in the U.K..

I have the cd in question .Its pretty straight ahead salsa/latin jazz kinda vibe .Good variety of rhythms from bata to mozambique , bomba ,merengue etc .Pretty cool . A few tunes written by Chucho valdez and a Eddie palmieri cover .
