Hi everybody, has anybody listened to the debut solo album of Buena Vista Social Club´s Orlando Cachaito Lopez´? Incredibly good - among the other brilliant musicians - is Angá Diaz on his 5 congas! A cooking if not boiling rhythm section worth alone.

Oh, for anyone interested inthis CD, I have to be more specific: It´s the first time I have heard somebody combine Cuban roots with real psychedelic elements. It´s groovy in the true sense of the word, something new, but very Cuban (As far as I pale Mid-European can tell)
A fitting review can be found under

Mike,

last friday i bought the cd you recommended. It is really a very groovy one. And the percussion in combination with the horns and contrabas is very smoothy.
Thank you for the advice.

Martin
