LP Rawhide skins

Postby Calypso King » Wed Oct 25, 2017 2:30 am

About two years ago I bought a set of LP City series mango wood congas, and they come with a "Rawhide" heads. Does anyone know what the source of LP's rawhide skins are, and from what animal they make them?

Also, I recently noticed they have a yellowish abrasion on them, that is slightly raised, on the head of the conga. Perhaps it was there from the start, but perhaps it developed. Is this a normal occurrence? The other head is completely clean and free of any irregularities.
