Yesterday I mailed a friend telling him I am not buying more conga's
But now I found somebody who is selling the gon bops showed on the (small ) picture.
They are conga and tumba

What model are they ?
What period where they produced ?
What kind of wood ?

I dont see many gon bops in my country so this might something that gets me buying again.

Thanks a lot.

These are early 1980s (or maybe late 1970s) International Series Gon Bops,
made out of Luan aka Philippine mahogany.
Nice rumba drums with an old-skool sound.
Conga & tumba combination is hard to come by in Europe.
The skins looks pretty worn though.
All in all, these are really outstanding congas from a bygone era.
But be sure to check them out for cracks.

Hope that helps.
