LP Copper Sparkle Palisades Park

Postby Espresso » Sun Jan 26, 2014 7:17 pm

Here this gorgeous set I have scored lately , I tried to made these picture with sun to exalt the sparkling.
Note the handle , I think the first type LP made.
There are some scratch ,these drums for sure are around since long time , i think 70's.

Wow, beautiful set, keept very well for sure!
Yes you are right, these are deffenetly early, evident by the stamp on the sking which was typicalll of the earlier models.
Congratulations. :D
Cheers.

They are early, and I bought mine new in 1971. These are the first I've seen of this finish surface other than my own. Very rare color it turns out. I still play out on them to this day. Nice find!

The finish you have on your LP's is referred to as
bronze Glitter. This is an old pic of me in The Corky Lang Band circa 89-90? Mick Taylor (John Mayall, Rolling Stones) on Guitar, Mark Clark (Billy Squire) on bass, Corky Lang (Mountain) on drums Roger Ball ( AWB) Sax Lester Chambers (Lead Vocal) I still play out on these currently. Your Set is the first set I have ever seen other than my own, as i special ordered that finish in 1971 when I bought them new. I had all three, and then sold the Tumba, something I regret to this day. My drums have traveled many miles and are pretty beat up. yours look great. Good luck with them!!

Those are beautiful. 11am, I have an early LP glitter tumba - not copper glitter, but more of a purple glitter. It's pretty beat too, but maybe it would go with your kit? I'd take $160 for it plus shipping.
