Help identifying some Gon Bops

Postby willfry » Wed Sep 18, 2013 11:10 am

I picked up a Gon Bops Quinto and Tumba and also have a set of Bongos. It would be great to know a bit more about them. I'd be really grateful if anyone can tell me from the pictures when they were made, what wood they are made from or anything else interesting. Many thanks!

Will.

Yo Will! Awesome find brother.
The bongo is from early 70s, "Deluxe" model. The tumbas are also from early 70's "International" model.
The part numbers are consistent with the 1973 catalog which you can check out here: http://www.vintagedrumguide.com/my_collection_gon_bops2.html

Hope you doing well, miss jamming with you.
