Ralph Flores just wrote me back and verified these were indeed made by Akbar. Confusing because of the red, "made in L.A". sticker on the rim. Some people consider these more rare then the 70's Valjes. Anyone have a set of these or played these? How do they compare to the original Valje's, the new Resolution drums by Ralph FLores or the Sol congas made by Akbar?
They are 1/2" shorter then the old Valjes.
