Posted: Sun Jun 09, 2013 11:25 pmThis is very common with Remo mondo heads. Does not seem to change tone of the heads I have played at all, just doesn't look so pretty. If you need the projection of a mondo head I think it may be the price you have to pay. Otherwise, get a Remo Nu-skin. I only use the mondos on my bongos, same issues, but they sound good.

Posted: Mon Jun 10, 2013 1:57 pmBuy new skins or be seen playing raggedy looking "old" Remo Mondo skins. Could be interpreted as heavy handed marketing by Remo.
