Palissades Park w/ New Skin

Postby pcastag » Sat May 18, 2013 2:34 pm

Got some really nice steer from Jaisen, he reccomended the steer as it has a warmer sound. I will tell you, this was the easiest skin I've ever tucked, I alomost lost it over the flesh hoop as it slipped quite a bit when it was drying, should've kept the nuts a bit tighter, but I made it with about 2mm to spare. The skin sounds fantastic! Almost like it's already broken in, a really nice warm sound. Looking forward to doing the tumba tomorrow, I ordered the flesh hops from Manito, not cheap but super heavy duty and well made, not to mention stainless. Anyways, I'll post some soundfiles when I get them all tucked and tuned up. Gon bops up for new heads next.
