Nice - I recently received a cherry SOS from Jay. Compared to the oak and ash drums I have from him I find the drum a tiny bit "boomy", but the head on it is rather thin and not fully broken in yet. If you're able, it would be great to hear a sound clip of the drums once you've played them for a bit - or to just hear your feedback as to how it changed the dynamics of the drums. I have an extra flesh hoop for the cherry tumba and was planning to experiment a bit with the heads.

Those pictures seem to show Jaisen doing a masterful job of putting heads on those skin on skins. All I can say is....
Give me some skin Jaisen!

Jaisen....yes, the drums arrived today via FEdex and they look great. Now that I have them here in person I see how nice these Meinl Mongo Santamaria drums are. Thank you my brother. Oh, the skin you threw in there is killer, and will match the Conga just perfect. Also...the Mahogany Bongo shells are superb. I can't wait for my next project with those .

Happy drumming to you!

Will.
