Big work on a old GB.

A sad shell arrived on my workshop.. in 3 pieces. Pain to reglue it, I have put pieces of acacia wood, as you can see. After a lot of glue, I have refiber it. Some photos.

You the man Congalou. You are bringing that Gon Bops back to life and you even doing it the
old school GB way with layer of fiberglass on the outer-shell. Is it me or those GB staves are
really thick....Can't wait too see the finished product. Take care!

Ritmo : No, it's the normal GB thickness, maybe the photo.

Do someone know what kind of resin GB put originally on theses drums ? I think it's polyester, but I'm not shure.

Big sanding, a layer of resin without fiberglass outside, big layer of fiberglass and époxy inside at the bottom and at the hardware place : SOLID !
