I guessed Gon Bops and Volcanoes!

I think I could have guessed Ritmos correctly if the echo was not so bad on that clip. Those congas on D had such a nice deep, rich sound, similar to the Volcanoes in E, but that echo screwed me up.

The congas in A sounded kind of flat, so I guessed Matadors, but the Matadors actually sounded pretty good in the recording.

I know I don't really know what Meinls sound like, no one I know has any.

Interesting test, Congatick!

Sadly, I came across this post too late (as I have been chasing another vintage Gon Bops conga)
Speaking of which:
After listening to all 5 clips, B was easy, the ultra-dry Gon Bops sound :D

The others were more difficult to figure out for me.

Astonishingly, the Volcanoes did not sound good to
me - in the recording ! - I would have guessed the Meinls as E.

How wrong can you be... BTW which Meinl series was that?
Peace & drum

The Acuna Artists. What also surprised me was how well the Matadors stood up in comparison.
